Ocean Awakening is about education and the promotion a joyful but sustainable life.
The idea to start this project was born in 2016 during meditation by the Atlantic Ocean. Weronika, the founder of Ocean Awakening, has been practicing yoga and meditation for many years already. However, it was this powerful encounter with pristine nature in Costa Vicentina natural park (Portugal), that gave Weronika the impetus to move forward and start sharing her experience and knowledge with others. Eventually, she established a group of people who cooperate together and serve you as Ocean Awakening. We invite everybody with an open mind to participate in our activities. Do you have questions? Feel welcome to get in touch.
Ocean Awakening offers...
- mindfulnesss surf yoga retreats and personal coaching;
- events dedicated to mindfulness and development of consciousness;
- lectures for groups and individuals;
- marketing strategies and PR for ethical brands, companies, and conscious individuals.
WERONIKA MARIA KOSTRZEWA
The founder of Ocean Awakening
Yoga, meditation, culinary, and surfing are my greatest passions - fortunately, they get along perfectly with each other. That is why the activities organized by Ocean Awakening are focused on that very topics.
After master's studies in journalism and communication at Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Poland) and social science at Charles University in Prague (Czechia), I started my journey to find a working environment that cares for the highest ethics. Since that was not easy to find, I decided to continue my education. It brought me to many inspiring places and teachers over the globe. In 2016 I got Yoga teacher & therapy training at Paramanand Institute (Indore, India). A significant dose of inspiration on the path came from the Tibetan master of meditation: H. H. the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje. That is why I started to study Buddhist philosophy at Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (New Delhi, India) in 2016. Additionally, I learn Sanskrit at Cambridge International Sanskrit IGCSE (R) & St. James Schools (London, UK). Currently working also on a new project YOGINIKA dedicated to the production of handcrafted meditation cushions, yoga outfits and accessories made with natural materials by disabled people in Poland.
We, people living in the West, are usually overwhelmed with thinking and stress. That is why I often introduce my students to restorative yoga and simple meditation techniques - a tonic for our busy minds.
